Almost 180 congress and sports events were held in Albena Resort in the past year 2022. This is an increase of more than 5% compared to the results of 2018, considered as one of the most successful in this field, reports the team, responsible for organizing such events in the resort.
In order to participate in workshops, presentations, symposia, conferences, congresses, seminars, trainings, corporate team building, trade shows, sport camps, national and international competitions, nearly 29,000 people have passed through the holiday village. "Albena is a preferred destination for this kind of activities, mainly because of the offer of a complex services and the individual approach. We have one of the largest conference halls in the country, capable to accommodate 900 people. We also have many others, with different capacity and technical support, which allows us to be flexible. In addition to the excellent conference infrastructure, the offer of a variety of accommodation is also an advantage - from high-class 5-stars hotels to those located in the quiet park area," says Denitsa Ogneva, Events manager at Albena. She adds that the company's annual results were evaluated extremely positively during the last meeting of the Bulgarian Congress Bureau - the largest professional organization in Bulgaria, committed to the development of the event and congress industry in Bulgaria.
"As the only winner of the title European Resort of Sport, Albena enjoys an enviable authority in front of many sports organizations such as the Union of European Football Associations - UEFA, the International Billiards and Snooker Federation - IBSF, the International Federation of Modern Pentathlon - UIPM, the International Tennis federation - ITF, etc., which makes us a preferred destination for tournaments, sports training and recreation", says Denis Tahirov, Sport manager in Albena. In his opinion, sports tourism still has undeveloped potential, which the holiday village will develop in the next few years.
The tenth edition of the Annual Meeting of Local Authorities, organized by the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, ranks among the largest congress and sports forums held in the past year, as well as the The National Scientific and Practical Conference on General Medicine, organized by the National Association of General Practitioners; the XVII National Cardiology Congress, organized by the Society of Cardiologists; International Salsa Festival; Modern Pentathlon World Cup; International Bridge Festival; friendly tournaments for girls and youth under 16 from the UEFA calendar, etc.
