At Albena Resort, the safety, health and wellbeing of our guests and staff remains our number one priority for more than 50 years.

We want you to feel confident and comfortable when travelling to Albena, and to enjoy your vacation with peace of mind.

In order to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all we have implemented additional regulations for sanitation and disinfection activities on the territory of Albena Resort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Albena monitors the information provided by the World Health Organization on a daily basis and adapts it to the EU Member States, focusing on this, we have been adapting all applicable safety procedures and measures, in consultation with the health authorities and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Following and strictly adhering to each of these measures, extreme attention will be paid to their compliance by our employees and guests of the resort, such as compulsory wearing of masks, control of the number of guests and observance of the necessary distance.

Each of the procedures and measures listed below will be adapted in timely manner and notified to you.

The Chief Sanitary Inspector of Albena has performed analysis of the critical points in the resort and on its grounds we have determined Protocols, Procedures, and regulations to be reinforced, these are:


1. Entrance with checkpoint- strictly monitored entrance

Each vehicle arriving to Albena Resort will be disinfected (tires and chassis) before crossing the entrance barrier. Sanitation will be performed by our employees using Disinfectant Backpack Sprayers. If the person is part of a group arriving by bus, each passenger in the group will also have to wait patiently and follow the instructions given.

Vehicle disinfection officers as well as those measuring the temperature of the guests entering Albena will be provided with the necessary protective equipment.


2. Hotels sanitation and disinfection

When the guests enter the hotel of their choice, their body temperature will be measured again, then guests will be offered to disinfect their hands using specially designed dispensers. If during the check of temperature it exceeds 37 ° C, local health authorities will be notified and the guests will be isolated in a separate room determined by the management and wait for the arrival of medical care unit.
All hotel staff will be provided the necessary protective equipment.
Front office administrators will not allow crowds of guests; social distancing will be enforced for those waiting in line in the lobby.
Front desk work surfaces shall be disinfected after each guest registration.
While sanitizing the hotels, the main focus will be on the bathrooms highly touched surfaces - remote controls, lighting switches, doorknobs, etc.
The dirty linen and towels will necessarily be handled by the housekeeping staff and in no case should guests place them on the floor.


3. The restaurants sanitation and disinfection

Guests will be offered to disinfect their hands using specially designed dispensers before entering the restaurants.
The restaurant staff will make sure there is no crowding and  all guests are accommodated at the required distance from each other. All employees will be provided the necessary protective equipment. After every meal, the restaurant will be disinfected - floor, table tops, chairs. The surfaces of the buffet, the restaurant's bar counter and other utensils for serving food and drinks will be disinfected as well. Sanitation will be made on all vending machines with emphasis on highly touched surfaces as buttons.


4. Shuttle bus sanitation and disinfection

All means of transportation within Albena Resort will be disinfected using Disinfectant Backpack Sprayers. Disinfection will be performed several times during the day and at the end of each shift.


5. Road network sanitation and disinfection

The roads in the resort will be washed and disinfected daily. All benches on the alleys and the beach road will be disinfected as well. After collecting the litter and beach waste, the bins will also be disinfected with disinfectant spray.

6. Other safety measures in the resort not related to COVID-19.

In April-May, there will be a double decaracisation of the lawns in the resort, the stadiums and the beach. Mosquito spraying will also be carried out.


7. Recommendations for Albena guests

We must remember: It is clear that the responsibility for our guests and employees’ health has to be shared!
That is why we are addressing all of you in the name of general safety with the following recommendations:

  • Keep safe distance!
  • It is crucial that you follow the instructions of our Health and Safety Bulletin boards placed in the lobby of your hotel.
  • Each and every one of you as a guest of Albena must follow strictly the rules of personal disinfection!
  • All disposable packaging and consumables should be disposed of immediately after use;
  • Last but not least, if you have the following symptoms:  fever, dry cough, headache and fatigue, you should definitely contact the hotel reception by calling without leaving your room.
