Spirit of Bulgaria

Once a week the traditional Bulgarian show Spirit of Bulgaria takes place in Albena, which is performed by the Chinari (Bulgarian Чинари) ensemble. It is a musical journey through time over the more than 1,000-year history of Bulgaria. On the one hand, the show consists primarily of dance elements that are based on original music, but on the other hand, it has been completely re-arranged, and thus offers a superlative show experience. The crowning glory is the famous Bulgarian fire dance, in which the dancer dances barefoot on glowing coals - total calmness and concentration are demonstrated at this moment.

The Folklore Group Chinari is on stage since 1993, founded by Asen Pavlov. Only proven professional dancers, artists, musicians and singers are part of the group. They have won many prestigious awards from competitions and festivals in different countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova, USA, Italy, Macedonia, Germany, Serbia, France and South Korea. Their performances are unique with their aspiration to modernize the Bulgarian folklore culture and to combine professionalism, talent, beauty and youth, typical for all the members of the group.
