“A Million Dreams” in Albena

The musical “A Million Dreams” with Hristiyana Loizu comes to Albena’s open-air stage.

On 1 August, Saturday, at 21:00, the open-air stage “Ganvie” will host the large-scale gala show “A Million Dreams” by Varna State Opera. As a gift to all residents and guests of the resort, admission to the event will be free.

12 years of magic and timeless world hits

“A Million Dreams” is a dazzling celebration of the dynamic development of the musical genre on the Varna stage over the past 12 years. Under the baton of maestro Stratsimir Pavlov, the orchestra, soloists and ballet of the opera will take the audience into the golden age of Broadway and the West End.

On this unforgettable summer evening under the stars, emblematic excerpts will be performed from: “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Love Never Dies”, “West Side Story”, “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Grease”.

Director Srebrina Sokolova presents an unconventional concept: the action is built as a real rehearsal process, in which reality and fantasy intertwine. The audience will become an exclusive witness to the inner life of a theatre company, with its creative conflicts, humour, love, disappointments and hope.

Gradually, the creative chaos will transform into perfect harmony, and the rehearsal will grow into a grand celebration. The highlight of the evening will be the special appearance of Bulgaria’s velvet voice, Hristiyana Loizu, whose magnetic presence promises to bring the audience to its feet.

The organisers invite all lovers of quality music and theatre to share this magical night of glamour, emotion and a million dreams come true under the open sky.
