Raum und Zeit – Albena 2026

From 10 to 17 June 2026, Albena Resort is hosting the first edition of the plein air painting event “Space and Time” – Albena 2026. The event brings together prominent Bulgarian artists from different generations and creative backgrounds, united by a shared idea: to create art inspired by the beauty of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

For seven days, Albena becomes an open creative studio where the artists work, exchange ideas and express their personal perceptions of time, nature and human presence. Each participant contributes their own artistic style and individual perspective, creating a rich palette of ideas, emotions and interpretations.

The participating artists are Acad. Hristo Panev, Aneta Stoyanova, Assoc. Prof. Petar Petrov, Elena Bardareva, Ivanichka Paneva, Penka Dimitrova, Ivo Uzunov, Krasimir Botusharov, Lilyana Ruseva, Lyubomir Yotov, Milena Kosturkova, Simeon Krastev and Ognyan Kuzmanov.

Special credit for the overall organisation and artistic concept goes to the curator, Ognyan Kuzmanov. Under his guidance, the plein air event creates an environment for open creative dialogue, professional exchange and inspiration among the participants.

“Space and Time” shows how contemporary art can become a natural part of the cultural identity of a tourist destination. For the guests of Albena, the event offers an opportunity to experience not only the beauty of the place, but also the living creative process — the way in which a space becomes a source of artistic inspiration.
