The French Elite Arrives in Albena for the Pétanque Fest Varna International Forum
From May 13 to 17, Albena Resort will become the center of European pétanque. The grand event Pétanque Fest Varna will bring together over 200 competitors from 25 countries, with special guests being the stars of the French national team – the absolute world leaders in this sport. A highlight of the program is the official opening of the new professional infrastructure of the Albena Pétanque Club. The club features 40 specialized seaside courts, signaling the resort's ambition to become a top destination for sports tourism in Eastern Europe.
Program Highlights:
- Wednesday, May 13, 14:30: Official opening ceremony with a parade of participants and demonstrations of "Jeu Provençal" by the French national team.
- May 13 – 14: International doubles and triples tournaments.
- May 16 – 17: A stage of the prestigious Balkan Pétanque Tour, where competitors will earn points for the official tour rankings.
The technical organizer is the world-renowned influencer and freestyler Tanguy Penin, who will present exclusive content and demonstrations to promote the destination to his millions of social media followers. The event will feature professional drone filming and real-time reports, highlighting Albena as a premier venue for elite sporting events.
