“Blue Flag” for the 28th consecutive time!

The beach in Albena has been honored with the international award “Blue Flag” for the 28th consecutive time!

For the 28th consecutive time, the beach strip of the holiday resort “Albena” will be honored with the international award “Blue Flag”. It is conferred by the World Foundation for Environmental Education and serves as an attestation of the efforts that the resort puts into maintaining the cleanliness of the water, surrounding facilities, safety, ecology, and overall management of the area. To meet the high and strict criteria, experts from the Bulgarian Blue Flag Movement Council closely monitor each candidate through a thorough preliminary assessment. Additionally, surprise inspections by the organization are conducted to ensure the safety of beachgoers and the environment.

As part of the program celebrating Albena’s 55th anniversary, the resort will host the official award ceremony for the “Blue Flag” for the 2024 Season. The event will take place on May 22, starting at 11:00 AM, at the Maritim Hotel Paradise Blue.

The resort also reminds visitors that since last year, an internal laboratory has been operating on its premises to examine the quality of seawater and drinking water, as well as the water in the pools. There is also a laboratory dedicated to assessing the quality of food entering the complex, ensuring maximum safety and health for guests. These laboratories complement the mandatory and regular control carried out by responsible state institutions.
