Amelia Earhart was born in 1897 in Kansas. From a young age, her dream was to fly and she managed to make it come true in 1920, when she first boarded a plane. A year later she began to study to be a pilot and piloted for the first time in 1923. She set many records for altitude and flight duration. She died while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1936.
