Albena is the best SPA destination in Bulgaria for 2019. The award was handed to Dimitar Stanev - Deputy Director of Business Development in Albena by Thierry Dubois - President of the European Association of Spa Centers, during the Sixth Annual Congress of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and Spa, which was held on September 27 in Sofia.
"Albena is a destination for 4 seasons, thanks to the unique spa and sports tourism opportunities it provides" - said Deputy Marketing and Sales Director Dimitar Tachev after receiving the award - yet another proof of the high level of Albena services offered in SPA and Wellness Tourism.
Earlier today it became clear that from next spring, patients from Germany will come to Bulgaria for balneotherapy and physiotherapy, which will be covered by the German Health Fund. This is good news for Albena because since the beginning of 2019 there is a Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital in the complex working with the Health Insurance Fund.
In May 2019, Albena received another prestigious award - Europe's Most Innovative Spa Destination. It was given at the 24th Congress of European Spa Centers, held from 8 to 10 May in Croatia. The secretary general of the European SPA Association, Chila Mesosi, personally presented the prize to Margita Todorova - Director of Operations, Marketing and Sales.
On the territory of the complex there are four high level SPA centers, which have many certificates for high quality of the offered procedures. These are Medica-Albena, Elements (Flamingo Grand Hotel & Spa), Senses (Maritim Hotel Paradise Blue) and Ralitsa (Ralitsa Superior Hotel).
It is a little known fact that the water in Albena is mineral with a natural temperature of about 30 deg.
